Dartam-CV 457 Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in children. It contains Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid, which work by killing infection-causing bacteria. Dartam CV 457 Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in children. It is used to treat infections of the skin, throat, ear, and lungs caused by bacteria.
Dartam-CV 457 Dry Syrup contains Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin kills infection-causing bacteria by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall. Clavulanic acid inhibits the beta-lactamase enzyme, which prevents bacteria from destroying the efficacy of amoxycillin.
Uses Of Dartam-CV 457 ORAL SUSPENSION
It is used for managing bacterial infections such as:

middle ear & sinus infections

respiratory tract infections

genital tract infections

urinary tract infections

skin & soft tissue infections such as dental infections

bone & joint infections

septic abortion (any abortion complicated by uterine infection)

abdominal infections
Side Effects:
Dartam-CV 457 Dry Syrup may cause side effects such as indigestion, diarrhoea, nausea, and stomach pain. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician.
Avoid giving Dartam-CV 457 Dry Syrup to your child if she/he is allergic to antibiotics. Keep your doctor informed about your child’s health condition, including his current medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions.
How to use Dartam-CV 457 ORAL SUSPENSION
Take this medicine as advised by your physician.
Syrup/Oral Suspension:
Shake well before use.
Use the dosing syringe, cup, or spoon supplied with the pack to measure the dose accurately.
A dosing syringe is recommended to dose a child below the age of 3 months accurately.
Dry syrup/dry suspension:
Open the sachet, reconstitute the dry powder thoroughly in a glass of water, and swallow the mixture immediately.
Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.
Dartam-CV 457 ORAL SUSPENSION should be used with caution in pregnant women only if it is considered necessary.

Dartam-CV 457MG ORAL SUSPENSION should be used with caution in breastfeeding women.
Kidney : Consult your doctor
Dartam-CV 457MG ORAL SUSPENSION is not recommended for use if you have a history of amoxicillin-clavulanate-associated jaundice/hepatic dysfunction. It should be used with caution in patients with hepatic impairment.
Liver : Use with Caution
Dartam-CV 457MG ORAL SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment.
Allergy : Contraindicated
Do not take Dartam-CV 457MG ORAL SUSPENSION if you have a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactams, including penicillin and cephalosporins, or any other ingredients of this medicine.
